Understand the terminology of digital photography, digital printing and digital imaging so that you will become a better photographer. Photographic terms such as Variable-output Flash, Viewfinder, Vignetting, Vram, and more.
These flash units have selectable and adjustable flash power outputs, so that the intensity of the light from the flash is variable.
The viewfinder is the optical system that enables the photographer to see exactly what the lens is projecting on the image sensor or film frame, just prior to the release of the shutter. Using the viewfinder, one can see how sharp the focus is on a given scene, what the depth of field is, and other critical camera function settings (i.e. ISO, shutter speed, aperture setting, exposure compensation amount, etc.).

Vignetting is when there is a noticeable reduction of brightness or saturation of the edges of a photo's center. Vignetting occurs with using zoom lenses near the lower end of the zoom's focal length, such that you'll see the lens barrel in the four corners of the image. Vignetting occurs occasionally when using a teleconverter.
