Countless have been bitten by the Game of Thrones bug. The fantasy drama television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss is an edge-of-your-seat nail biter through and through, and fans all over the world can’t wait to feast their senses on the next season. Game of Thrones was very much anticipated by the viewing public even before its debut, and has since become a commercial and critical hit.

By 2014, TV observers hailed it as the biggest drama in addition to being the most talked about show on television. Season one had an average of 2.5 million viewers for its initial Sunday night screenings, and a typical gross audience of 9.3 million viewers per episode. By season 4, HBO pegged its average gross audience swelling to 18.6 million, a television the record. It therefore comes as no surprise that such a runaway success will have its share of spin-offs, mostly unauthorized such as this one.

Pug owners Phillip Lauer, 57, and his wife Sue, 47, have been dressing their pugs up as characters from the small and big screen since they were puppies. Any guess what their latest make-believe scenario is?  These flamboyant dogs are now starring in parody of Game of Thrones, in full costume as the main characters of Westeros.

Their names are Roxy, Blue and Bono, and these three cute pugs from California don’t mind being dressed up and photographed by Phillip and Sue at all. Among their previous get-ups were as royalty, rock stars or characters from Lord of the Rings.

Given the success of the TV series and its immense following, the Game of Thrones idea eventually got the attention of the streaming service Blinkbox, which offered to produce a short video of the adorable pug trio re-enacting the massively successful TV series.  Phillip is a professional photographer and designer, and could not turn down the opportunity. Needless to say, the result of the video and pictures is both hilarious and amazing.
