Wedding planners and couples have been thinking out of the usual nuptial box lately, and this is quite evident in all the creative, if not zany wedding themes that has become a trend. So it really comes as no surprise that the Star Wars franchise is tapped for one very special wedding ceremony. Hence for at least one day, Jennifer and her husband Joshua got to live the fantasy by having a Star Wars-themed wedding and reception to celebrate their nuptials.
Two Stormtroopers greeted guests and escorted the bride and groom to loftSeven Los Angeles, the elegant penthouse where they celebrated their reception. Once there, what met them was a cake topped with Star Wars vehicles and the Tauntaun and Wompa from the perilous encounter in the ice caves of Hoth.
Wedding guests were seated at tables labelled Droid, Rebel and Twi’Lek just to make sure the Star Wars theme was consistently present. To complete the feel of the theme, wedding guests were given lightsabers that they could bring and swing on the dance floor. The coup de grace, however was reserved for the bride’s father when he emerged for his father and bride dance costumed as the celebrated Darth Vader. Top that!
There is no doubt that Jennifer and Joshua threw an amazing, first class Star Wars inspired celebration at loftSeven. The stunningly modern space, with views of the skyline, was the perfect backdrop for a themed wedding with elegant details and, of course, plenty of Star Wars hints. The credit by the way goes to Jennifer, not Joshua, who thought up most of the incredible details.
She shared some of her exciting days of pre-planning.
“From the moment we started planning, my now-husband and I decided that we wanted our wedding to be intimate, fun, and a reflection of who we are as a couple. In terms of the details and decor, we tried to create an atmosphere that was whimsical, romantic, and modern. Since I’m a lifelong Star Wars fan, I knew I had to incorporate my fandom into some of the wedding details.”
May the force always be with them. See their Star Wars themed nuptials here.
