Photographer Benoit Lapray combines two unlikely and unrelated interests into one project. He has a twin passion for Star Wars and Lego blocks. So how do you merge the two? Easy. Create several Star Wars Lego scenarios. Lapray does this unlikely pairing by conjuring up everyday situations made possible with clever photography and some amount of help from digital retouching and manipulation.
No less than Hans Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Speederbikes, Chewbacca, and many more characters from the Star Wars saga are hurled not into outer space mayhem, but in all kinds of mundane situations in the world as we know it. All the Star Wars related personalities and props are created using Lego blocks. In this concept series the various characters are on earth going about their daily lives.
Stormtroopers man draw bridges but can also be seen window shopping. Chewbacca patrols a park while Princes Leia and Hans Solo are chilling out. Many more scenarios are taking place simultaneously in a typical city, and it is a very well executed collection with extremely clean editing obviously behind each image.

Lego is a construction toy manufactured by The Lego Group. The company’s main product, Lego, is made up of colorful interconnecting plastic bricks and supplemental arrays of gears, minifigures and a range of other parts. Lego bricks can be assembled and connected in many ways, such as to construct objects like those that can be seen in this Star Wars Lego project. The French Lapray has also done another series using Lego products where he featured superheroes in the outdoors.
