One would not expect these adorable photos to come from such a young photographer. 18-year-old Jessica Trinh is in love with her two four-legged buddies, Chuppy, a 6 year old Golden Retriever, and Daisy, a 1 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd mix, and their special relationship jumps at you in her photos.
Together, they collaborate to celebrate their special bond, reflected in some of the most delightful dog pictures. Armed with a Canon 7D and a tennis ball to direct her subjects, Jessica is a natural at photographing her canine models. She spends many hours a week indulging both her love for the pets and photography.
On school weeks she works 2-3 days behind the lens. When on break, she spends even more time than that. She has been into photography since she was 13. Jessica, who is from the Southern California area, is currently in high school. She plans to become a veterinarian someday. In her spare time she also likes to play the piano.
She has this to say about herself in her website,
”There is a mission behind my photos. I wanted to make a statement in pet photography. I wanted to call it an art. It started ever since I set my hands on a camera; I knew I had unlocked a new dimension. One where you can expand your imagination and run for endless miles. Photography makes you look at things differently. You notice rain drops and the way the sun kisses the Earth. You breath in every moment of your life. You love to live and live to love. There is no time to waste because there is an urgency to capture each loving gesture, smile, and laugh in both humans and animals. Then every photograph becomes timeless and you smile, knowing that you hold a few split seconds in your hands.
I live in a box called a camera with the lens as my window and everyday I sit on my couch watching the world outside through a different perspective. No worries, my dogs are right beside me looking at it the same way.”
Her work is masterful, sensitive and creative but also technically first-rate. At 18 years of age, the best of Jessica’s work is certainly still ahead of her. Let’s keep an eye on this talented young lady consumed by the passion of her craft. Well wishes to Chuppy and Daisy, too.
